There’s something truly wonderful about seeing someone you love in love! I was over the moon when my cousin, Katie, asked me to shoot an engagement session for her and her fiance, Max. It’s been a privilege to watch their love story blossom from meeting and falling in love while in college at University of Florida, through living in separate states as they began their careers, and now as they make their first (super cute!) home together in Austin, TX. Their families are both from Pensacola and they’ve made so many memories there together, so it was only fitting that while they were home this summer, Max proposed on an afternoon walk along the beach. For their engagement session they wanted to incorporate some of the great outdoors and cityscapes that are the essence of the Austin vibe. They love running and biking around Lady Bird Lake together, so that was our first stop. It was great to incorporate water for these beach lovers. Our next spot was in East Sixth, which is filled with stunning wall murals and lots of creative energy. I feel so blessed to have captured these two love birds in their fun, exciting new city as they start this new chapter of life together! Congrats, Katie & Max!!
Katie and Ryan’s engagement session took us down memory lane to the spot they first met – as neighbors in a duplex while they were studying at CU. After popping some champagne to commemorate this special location, we headed to Chautauqua Park to enjoy the beautiful fall colors! Katie and Ryan’s engagement story is one for the books – she accidentally discovered the ring in his car before they left on a trip to Iceland. In some quick thinking, Ryan told her he was waiting until they got back from the trip because he didn’t want to travel around the world carrying the ring in his pocket. However, Ryan actually did have the ring with him in Iceland and planned to propose next to an iconic waterfall – but someone else near them got down on one knee before Ryan had the chance. Ryan was finally able to propose when they hiked to a gorgeous glacier and Katie could not have been more surprised and thrilled! This adventurous, outdoorsy couple loves traveling, hiking, camping, and skiing – especially when they’re doing it together! I can’t wait to capture the next step of their love story as they tie the knot at Arapahoe Basin in August.
Get to know Katie & Ryan!

It was a picture perfect fall day in Boulder for Meredith and David’s beautiful creekside wedding. Meredith and her gals got wedding-ready at a family home in Boulder. Meredith’s lace dress was absolutely stunning and to finish off her look, she chose an adorable pair of Toms to make sure she could walk around comfortably all day. After all the buttons were done up, Meredith and her gals boarded Boulder’s iconic Banjo Billy bus to capture a first look with her husband-to-be at Chautauqua Park. This is always such a fun moment as the bride approaches the groom and he sees his future wife all dressed up for their big day! It’s the moment when they both realize that this is really happening!! While Meredith and David were blown away by the excitement of the moment, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were almost blown away by the wind! But Meredith told the girls to “Just go with it!”
The outdoor ceremony was absolutely gorgeous at Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center along Boulder Creek. Meredith chose beautiful, lush greenery with maroon and white accents for her florals. Ceremony music was played by a harpist and flutist and perfectly fit this romantic setting! The chairs were filled with their nearest and dearest – some of whom they’ve been friends with since elementary school! At the end of the night, guests took home succulents that matched the wedding florals and popcorn from Pittsburgh, Meredith’s neck of the woods.
From a mountaintop engagement, to a creekside wedding, Meredith and David’s love story has been filled with outdoor adventures. I’m so glad I was able to capture these steps of their journey and wish them the best as they take many more as husband and wife! Congrats you two!

Megan and Nash’s love story began long ago and they’ve celebrated many life milestones together and with their son, Eli, over the years. It was an honor to photograph their wedding (and engagement!), especially since I’ve known Megan almost my entire life. They’ve been waiting a long time to say “I do!” and with great anticipation they made their way to Stone Mountain Lodge in Lyons to tie the knot. I loved this venue with its wide open views, red rock cliffs, and gorgeous gardens!
It was a perfect fall day, filled with bright, cheery sunflowers, light-hearted children, and lots of love. The ring bearer stole a few hearts, and got some laughs, as he rolled down the aisle in a wagon decorated with a sign that said “Don’t worry ladies… I’m still single!”. But, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Megan and Nash exchanged vows under an arbor covered with gorgeous honeysuckle vines and flowers. It was such a special ceremony that not only celebrated Megan and Nash’s love story, but also celebrated the families they’ve brought together and the family they’ve started. Eli and his cousin, Poppy, were the cutest Best Man and Maid of Honor I’ve ever photographed! Congratulations, Megan & Nash, and cheers to the years of adventures ahead of you!
Brittany & Jason knew from the beginning they wanted an intimate, meaningful wedding celebration. They planned the perfect weekend for their closest kin at the C Lazy U Ranch in Granby, Colorado, close to where Brittany grew up. This amazing location gave Jason’s East Coast family a real taste for Colorado high country and offered something for everyone. The C Lazy U is not only a working ranch, it also has a spa, pool, and fantastic food and wine. Every little detail of their day was so special and meaningful – from the bride’s gold cowboy boots to the branded wedding keepsakes they made together. On the day of the wedding, Brittany finished getting ready in a adorable glamping tent right below the hilltop venue overlooking the lake. With the fall colors painting the leaves all shades of gold, there were stunning views all around! As part of their ceremony, they asked their family members to shower them with good wishes by tossing dried flowers from their garden. These two were nearly drowned in love!! After the ceremony, the happy Mr. & Mrs. hosted cocktail hour at the glamping tent before heading to dinner with their family in the refined modern farmhouse. I’ve known Jason for years and it was such an honor to capture this special day as he pledged himself to the love of his life. I’m so happy for them to make it official! Congratulations Brittany & Jason, you’re hitched!!
