Telluride Difficulty Level

Elope at Telluride Ski Resort:

Telluride has so much backcountry hiking terrain that’s inbounds to explore! It’s one of the mountains that will push you to your limit! Their Double Black is ‘shit in your pants’ worthy! One thing is for sure, the views look gnarly!

But don’t you worry, they have plenty of fantastic non-hiking ski runs for you to explore too! I mean not everyone likes to walk around in ski boots! Almost one-third is blue terrain for you to take some awesome turns. And it’s so beautiful all around!

If you wanna go ALL OUT I would recommend The Temper House. It’s a luxurious house in bounds that you can ski to for your ceremony and dinner.

Silverton is not a regular ski resort, it’s a backcountry access pass with a little help from one lift! It’s a great way to try backcountry with a guide or to heli-ski for the first time! You can feel like your in Alaska on this ski mountain!

It would be so awesome to have your wedding here for a private day in lu of a traditional wedding day! Like how cool would it be to heli everyone up for a ceremony on the top of the mountain? So dreamy and so fun!

Vail is the largest ski resort in Colorado! And when you step into the back bowls you will see just how big it really is! There are four bowls comprising the Back Bowls and two more in Blue Sky Basin with the countless number of runs to explore!

Vail is a great mountain to ski at for your adventure vow day! It’s also a great mountain to ride the gondola to the top for the amazing views and little adventure on the ski lift. The town of Vail is also super scenic with its alpine European-inspired architecture.

Breckenridge is made up of five peaks from the Ten Mile Range making for an amazing view of the range from town and on the mountain! There’s tons of great terrain at Breck, from a hike to double black to some awesome blue runs. One of the best end of day runs is 4 O’clock trail that brings you straight to the parking lot or better yet, apré ski time!

There’s tons of great spots to say your vows on the mountain and easily ski to your reception! Or you can take the scenic gondola ride in hopes of spotting a moose on your way to town!

Beaver Creek Ski Resort Difficulty Level

Elope at Beaver Creek Ski Resort:

I have to say that my favorite thing about Beaver Creek is the hot chocolate chip cookies at noon and the blankets around the fire pits that are everywhere. I hope that comes back soon! The mountain is very extensive and there’s a bit of a learning curve to learn the ways around the mountain but that’s what makes it so much fun!

There’s tons of things to explore on your skis and there’s also some awesome snowshoeing available on the mountain! It’s a fantastic mountain to ski and snowboard! There’s also some great spas at Beaver Creek to ease your muscles after all the mogul runs!

Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort Difficulty Level

Elope at Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort:

If you’re looking for a very local’s ski resort feeling, this is it! My favorite memories at A-Basin are hanging out at the beach. Although it’s not allowed for us to tailgate this year, it’s a place I hope to make more memories with friends and family soon. With the base elevation at 10,780’ you can almost ski here in July on a heavy snow year! You start mid-mountain so you're getting the best snow from the get-go!

With the thrilling hikes to chutes, tree runs in The Beavers, and taking laps on the Zuma Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort is one of my favorites. You just can’t beat the views, even from mid-mountain they are utterly fantastic!

Saying your vows when you're overlooking the Montezuma Bowl would be the best vow adventure! Then skiing down to the beach to join your friends and family to celebrate!

Ashleigh Miller - Ski Elopement Photographer

Ashleigh’s a Boarder!

Ashleigh Miller Photography Ski Information:

I love going snowboarding on the mountain! I find the boots to be very comfortable and I have to say it makes me seem way less clumsy. I don’t know how skiers do it! So when I show up to photograph your ski elopement, just know that I’ll be on my board!
