Loveland Pass Adventure Engagement Session

I had the best time hanging out with Becca & Weston for their adventure engagment session in Keystone and Loveland Pass! Their love story is a cute one! To sum it up, they grew up on the same street knowing each other their whole lives! They started dating in college and now are tying the knot this year! I’m so excited to be documenting this part of their love story!

So, I know it’s gonna be a good shoot when they want to start with happy hour in the forest and between us we have a good sampling of beer options! We started the photography adventure session among the trees because these two actually have an extensive knowledge of trees and birds, you would think they are dendrologists or ornithologists. It was fun to hear them point them out things by feature, like the steller jay sighting of his mohawk.

After some time frolicking around the snow by the river we headed up the mountain to Loveland Pass. Soon after we arrived, we had a fox sighting! When we were at the top it was like the sound of music with all of the dancing and frolicking around the fields on the top of the mountain. We had the perfect alpine glow to end the adventure photography session in the mountains. These two are so easy going and are a joy to be around, I can’t wait for their wedding day! They are the best!

Get to Know Becca & Weston

How did you two meet?

We grew up on the same street, so we've known each other most of our lives! We started dating when Weston came home from college for a semester to attend EMT school. Becca went to Montana State University that fall and Weston resumed classes up there. The rest is history as they say!

What's the bride's favorite thing about the groom?

I love his passion and sense of adventure, and how he meets my goofiness with his own, and supports me in all things.

What's the groom's favorite thing about the bride?

How easygoing she is while still keeping me on track, and how she is kind and loving.

What is your favorite thing to do as a couple?

We love all things outside! Skiing, kayaking, birdwatching, hiking, camping, running with our dog! We also love live bluegrass music.

Becca: Kristen Wiig because she's my comedy hero

Weston: Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden (yes we did google that full name) of the Hayden Geological Survey of 1871

Weston: no sleep - more time for activities

Becca: invisibility - it would be useful for watching birds :)
