Elope in a National Parks

Some of the most beautifully Majestic places in the United States are national parks.  What better venue is there than the natural one that you already love exploring as a couple. The place that even brought you together as the couple you are today. The great outdoors that made you realize this is THE person you want to explore with.

We can thank President Theodore Roosevelt for signing the Antiquities Act and the many environmentalists, like John Muir who fought for wilderness preservation. So many glorious lands were preserved for the people of the United States. For more information on the history, check out The History Channel and The National Park Foundation.

We all want to make sure the parks stay alive and thrive as they naturally would without adverse human influence. Let’s practice Leave no trace and follow all the local rules of the parks. All of the National Parks have slightly different rules for wedding ceremonies, so check the website. When in doubt, call the ranger’s station and they will know all the details and can answer any questions you may have. Most of them will require a wedding ceremony permit with a location and date.
