What is a Vow Adventure?
A Vow Adventure is the day you get married. I currently photograph elopements, small weddings, micro-weddings, boutique weddings, large weddings, and vow renewals. Each vow adventure is different and perfect, just like each couple! The main thing is that you love each other and want a day in the mountains that feels genuine to who you are in real life!
What’s an Adventure?
It’s anything you want it to be! Heck, saying your vow out loud is an adventure if you ask me! We can also go hiking, biking, sailing, canoeing, or picnicking!
Do we have to be big hikers?
Nope, you don’t have to hike if you don’t want to!! There are plenty of hidden gems close to the trailhead start! We can also go 4x4 Off Roading if you don’t want to hike and want to get out there!

Photographs
When do we get to see the photos?
Vow Adventures are delivered on your ONE month anniversary for you two to view at home for gallery date night to celebrate your anniversary together! No guessing, no fussing, no stressing! Sneak Peeks are delivered within one week of vow adventure.
Adventure Sessions are delivered within 4 weeks of the photography session.
Do you offer engagement photos?
YES! I love engagement photography sessions! They are almost a requirement for wedding photography! I promise you won’t regret going on an adventure with me for your engagement session! I really love getting to know y’all before the BIG DAY! I also offer adventure couples sessions for any season of life!
How many images will get receive?
It all depends on the size of the event, the number of locations, and attire. But typically about 50 images per hour of coverage.
Do you provide video services?
Oh my goodness, NO! Video is a whole other ballgame! I’d be happy to recommend some awesome ones that I love to work with!
Do we need to get your photo permit?
No way! I’ll take care of all the photograph permits at no additional cost! You still need to take care of your wedding ceremony, alcohol, and rental permits for your location.
Do you deliver raw files?
Ummm, do you order raw spaghetti? I’m here to tell you, as a bride or groom, you should never need to get the raw files from your photographer. If you would like more information, here’s a whole blog post on it [here]!
Do we send you a "shot list"?
Nope! No wedding photography shot list is required! BUT A FAMILY SHOT LIST IS SUPER HELPFUL! I have shot hundreds of weddings so I don’t need to know that you want a photograph of the cake but I do need to know what family groups you would like. It’s super important if your a modern family!
Who is going to be the second shooter?
The second shooter not only photographs different angles, they also assist us with anything we need throughout the day. The second shooter is going to be one of my trusted photography friends that has usually worked with me before or has been vouched for by one of my besties! There is no need to worry! They are going to do an amazing job for us!
Planning
How much planning do you do?
I am not a traditional wedding planner, I’m a photographer that’s here to guide the way! I’ve photographed hundreds of couples and through experience can offer you my advice on what has made for the most epic days in the past. I’ll suggest the best vendors, locations and ideas then you book and reserve them on your own.
How far in advance do we need to book you?
You can start booking me 18 months out from when you want to get married! If I have the bandwidth we can also plan something in as little as a month from the date you're dreaming of. Let’s get you hitched!
How many people can be at my elopement?
If you are wanting to hike into the mountains and get married on a trail, then less than 10, including me. This rule is made by most National Forests for covid and LNT principles. You can still get married in National Parks and Forests but you will need to rent a wedding ceremony spot for you and your guests if it is going to be over ten people. Every location has a different limit on the number of people. I’d be happy to assist you on your quest to find the perfect location.
Should we hire a wedding planner?
I love when my couples include a wedding planner in their day! It really takes care of the little details and makes you guys even more carefree! If you’re dreaming of arches or an outdoor intimate dinner or a traditional wedding ceremony, a planner can get it done so everyone can enjoy themselves!
Limited Availability
I want my couples to have full access to all the help and support they need so I only take on a limited number of couples a year. I want to show up as my best so I don’t overbook myself and keep a reasonable travel schedule.
Investment
Are there any additional costs?
This depends on what activity y'all choose to do for your adventure!
Whatever adventure you choose you will be including the photographer/s in your cost for that adventure. Some additional costs that could occur before an adventure are hiring a wilderness guide for a via ferrata, 4x4 driver, dog sledding, hot air balloon operator, ski lift ticket, or helicopter pilot.
What is the payment schedule?
Your non-refundable retainer (50%) is due at the time of signing and the remainder is due 30 days before the event.
Are there travel fees?
I live in Denver, Colorado! I mostly travel to summit county for photography but am willing to travel ALL over Colorado with no travel fees. I love to jump on planes, totally willing to travel anywhere for an additional flat fee if I’m available!
How do we book you to photograph our vow adventure?
Complete the Contact Form, then we’ll set up a time to meet online! Once we get to know each other at the meeting and I get an idea of your dream vow adventure, I’ll send a proposal over. Once you sign the contract and send the retainer, your date is booked and we’ll start planning!
